Renault Pulse will be the new small car from Renault in India
Like we told you a few days back, Renault will be unveiling it’s new small car for India on the 29th of October, 2011. At that point though it was unclear whether the new small car from Renault would be the Modus, which has been spotted testing in India numerous times, or a new car based on the V-Platform. And now finally with just days left to the official unveiling of the new small car from Renault, we now have confirmed news that the car from Renault for India will be the Renault Pulse. The Renault Pulse will be based on the V-Platform and will share parts with the Nissan Micra and that includes the 1.2 Liter, 75 Bhp petrol engine and the 1.5 Liter, 65 bhp DCi diesel engine. Although at this point it not clear what the Renault Pulse will look like, there are rumors doing rounds that the Renault Pulse might essentially be a rebadged Modus. Renault wants to mark its attendance in this crowding segment and over the years build that up. It is not aiming to sell 6,000 units a month as the dealer network is not very strong at the moment. |
