Ford Figo or Toyota Liva?

Yesterday we (me and my brother) took a test drive of Ford Figo and Toyota Liva (Diesel).

Presently we are using Hyundai Santro May 2004 model which has done 122k kms and still going strong. We are looking for a diesel hatch below 7 lacs, which is roomy, easy to drive, low maintenance and reliable. For some reason we are not attracted towards Marutis, VW Polo and Hyundai i20 are beyond our budget, Nissan Micra looks too delicate so remains these two..Figo and Liva.

Liva is nice to drive, no turbolag and roomy. And it comes from Toyota so reliability should not be an issue also must be easy to maintain. But negatives are too many cost cutting measure, viz. single horn, single wiper (although it does its duty perfectly), quality of switch gear as well as rubber beadings. Even the top model does not have RPM meter, ICE, rear wiper, defogger, fog lamps etc.

On the other hand Figo has very good equipment level, is nice to drive and feels built to last. The negatives are no rear power windows and less roomier than Liva.

As there is no differance in prices of both cars, we are confused. I request my fellow BHPins to help me taking the decision please:
