Pobitara is OPEN!!!

Hi all T-BHPians. have been close to Guwahati on posting for about a year now. and ever since Pobitara closed, had been dying for it to reopen. Well, got the news that the sanctuary was to open on 08 Nov 11. Made plans and the best date worked out to be 12 Nov 11. So there it was. The plan was to move for Pobitara on Saturday morning at 0630. We started on time and reached Pobitara by 0700. Had given prior intimation a day earlier (Thanks to my contacts). The Range Officer was kind enough to have our tickets (for the elephant ride) ready in no time. He said that the first trip of elephants had left a few minutes earlier and that there would be a little wait. Said thanks and started towards the elephant ride point. The two black stallions.
