| Audi, the German luxury car manufacturer has announced the launch of the new Audi A6 2.0 TDI in India. The Audi A6 2.0 TDI is the most efficient business luxury limousine in India. With the introduction of this business luxury limousine, Audi India offers four powerful and highly efficient petrol and diesel engines. Priced at Rs 37,70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) Audi A6 2.0 TDI will be available at Audi dealerships from October 2011. Successor to one of the world's most successful executive sedans, the new Audi A6 features groundbreaking solutions in every area of technology. The body is intelligently built light, owing to a significant proportion of aluminum components. This lightweight technology has proven itself in the world famous 24 hrs of Le Mans, where Audi has so far won 10 victories, and as the first auto company ever with a Diesel. The range of assistance and multimedia systems is extensive, and operation is intuitive and user friendly. Audi India got its brand new A6 2.0 TDI road tested in a coast-to-coast drive by a leading Auto magazine with an amazing 18.9 km/litre under real Indian road conditions, making it by far the most efficient business luxury limousine in India. This is possible due to use of Audi's new lightweight and hybrid bodyshell technology known as “Audi ultra“.

The new A6 2.0 TDI is a new benchmark globally and in India for sporty, yet efficient driving, paired with Audi's progressive design. We achieved consumption levels with a 1585 kg weight car, which many smaller cars in India cannot achieve. This clearly signifies our philosophy – “Vorsprung durch Technik”. With the arrival of this important model and the 2.0 TDi engine in India, we are confident that we might even increase our forecast for this year based on a strong response to the new A6.” With its light body, sporty chassis and a wide array of new assistance and multimedia systems, the full-sized sedan is packed with innovative solutions in every area of technology. Much of the body of the new Audi A6 consists of aluminum and high-tech steels, rendering it exceedingly light, stiff and safe. State-of-the art design methods and materials ensure extremely low interior noise levels. The design of the new Audi A6 embodies athleticism and elegance. The sedan is 4.92 meters long and 1.87 meters wide, but just 1.46 meters high.
