How to post pictures of the instrument cluster showing average FE - post yours!

Hi Guys,

I have been seeing such pictures in almost all ownership threads - thanks to almost all cars that now come equipped with MFD that can show fuel efficiency (FE) - both average and instantaneous. And then a routine discussion follows amoung the members if the snapshot is of average FE or instantaneous and over what range of KM...

Nobody really cares about instantaneous, so how about this -
After the said drive, stop the engine, park the car, engage handbrake, switch the key to ON position and navigate the MFD to the average FE screen and take the snap! The snap will show RPM needle at zero, speedo needle at zero, parking brake warning light ON - this will leave no doubt about the fact that the shown figure is average and not instantaneous.

Also, in all Skodas, I see two trip computers - #1 is meant for short term - for the current drive and is reset if engine is OFF for two hours. #2 is for long term and is reset after a certain no. of hours/kms of driving which has a reasonably high limit. So how about posting two pictures (in handbrake applied state, ofcourse) FE #1 and FE #2. The trip computer number appears on the top right corner of the FE display.

One open issue I see is - the FE and trip distance are not shown on a common screen (at least on Skodas) - so need ideas on how to keep ourselves honest on that front :D.

So may I invite ideas on how to solve this open issue and also to post all your FE photos on this thread?

I will post mine this weekend when I will get to drive the Skoda for any reasonable distance.

Cheers!
