Ford India sales passes 1 million mark; Ford Figo gets 3 new features
| Ford’s Indian arm has witnessed a growth of 31 per cent in sales from January to October this year. Ford posted its sales figure of 1,01,439 units crossing the million-sales mark. For the same period last year, it sold 77,324 units. Ford Figo is the major player in the sales figures accounting for more than 70% of the automakers monthly sales in India. Commenting on the figures, Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director, Ford India, said, “Having crossed last year’s sales figures already, we are upbeat about closing the year with a new high.” "Exports are a strong part of our growth strategy. And it’s wonderful to see the Chennai-made Figo winning hearts of customers in overseas markets too,” Boneham added. Ford India is also planning on introducing three new features to its current top sales puller, the Ford Figo in India. The Ford Figo Titanium variant will be getting a tilt steering along with an USB port for the 2 DIN stereo and alloy wheels for an added 20k INR. The Ford Figo ZXi variant will come the above mentioned features minus the alloy wheels and seat height adjustment at roughly the same price the Figo ZXi sells for.
