SpyShots : 2012 Porsche Boxter S undisguised images surface

With the recent unveiling of the 911, Porsche is gearing up to launch a redesigned Boxster. Following the earlier series of spy shots of the next generation Porsche Boxster testing at the Nürburgring, we now have our hands on fully undisclosed pictures of the new baby Porsche thanks to professional spy photographers Brian Williams and Brenda Priddy. Caught undisguised, the model has evolutionary design which adopts a few styling cues from its rear-engined brother. The front end is instantly recognizable, but everything aft of the steeply raked A-pillar is reworked for a more aggressive appearance.  Most notably, the side air intakes are enlarged and the rear spoiler carries over into the taillights. What engine the Boxster S will get is unknown so far, but it's more than likely that it will be a refreshed 2.5 liter flat four-cylinder engine producing up to 360hp. Word is the vehicle will receive a proper introduction on the show circuit in the next few months. For now check out the pictures below and stay tuned for more updates. Rolls Royce Ghost long wheelbase launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 3.05 crore

Some call it the epitome of luxury. Rolls Royce is the last word in exclusive uber-luxurious mobility. The iconic British brand now owned by BMW today launched the long-wheelbase version of the Rolls Royce Ghost in India and being a Rolls Royce, it doesn't come cheap. These guys don't do cheap and cheerful products. The products they make are not for the average individual. They make cars for the royals, for those who dream of spending their next vacation on the moon. The Rolls Royce Ghost LWB will be available in India for a stratospheric price of INR 3.05 Crore i.e. 30.5 million Indian rupees. Now, the Ghost is actually a BMW 7-Series underneath. Specialized craftsman at the Rolls Royce facility add a touch of British heritage to it by laying acres of the finest quality leather inside the cabin. The trim inserts can be ordered in the most exotic of wood known to man which is polished for hours together for that perfect shine. It may well be a BMW dressed as a royal princess but actually is more Rolls Royce than it is BMW. It is just the platform where the similarities end. The way the car is put together at the Rolls Royce facility is not different than the other bespoke cars they make including the Phantom. Under the long and shiny bonnet is a 6.6 litre V12 that puts out 563 bhp and 780 Nm of torque and is mated to a ZF 8-Speed automatic transmission. 0-100 kph comes up in 5.0 sec and can hit a top speed of 250 kph. Customers get an option to select any colour of their choice along with other customization options including the type and colour of the leather, veneer, the wheels among others. The luxury car market in India is growing at a rapid pace and in one of top markets in Asia. The growth curve is also expected to be steep in the years to follow and we could see more and more expensive cars being sold in the country. 2011 Hyundai Eon: Uncamouflaged images leaked

Here are a bunch of uncamouflaged images showing the Hyundai Eon small car that will be unveiled on the 13th of October. Bookings for the small car is already on at the various Hyundai India dealerships for a booking amount of INR 25,000. Test drives of this car will be available from the 14th of October while deliveries too are expected to start on the same day. Anticipating big demand, Hyundai India has already dispatched over 7,000 units of the Eon to Hyundai dealerships across India and folks who have already booked this ca might get deliveries soon. This is a strategy that Toyota has also used in the past with the Liva Hatchback, to reasonable success. The best way of marketing really, is to put more cars on the roads and Hyundai India seems to be doing all the right things in the run up to the Eon's launch. From the uncamouflaged images we have here, the Eon doesn't look all that bulbous and should find favour with a wide section of entry level small car buyers. Oh yes, Hyundai will position the Eon bang in the middle of Maruti Alto territory, at an anticipated price between INR 2.5-2.7 Lakhs for the base variant. The Eon will be powered by a 814cc, three cylinder petrol engine that generates 55 Bhp of peak power and 76.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be mated to a five speed manual transmission and Hyundai claims an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of 21.1 KMPL for the Eon, which makes this small car more fuel efficient than the largest selling car in India, the Maruti Alto. The Hyundai Eon will be available in six variants and Hyundai India is aggressively targeting even small towns in India with standalone dealerships that will sell cars like the Eon and the Santro Xing. 2012 Peugeot 4008; To be showcased at Geneva 2012

Peugeot has unveiled the new 2012 4008 SUV, the successor to the 4007 model.The 4008 will be offered  with three drive modes: 2×4, 4×4, and LOCK which is permanent all-wheel drive. To be presented as a world premiere at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, 4008 will go on sale initially in international markets from 2012 second quarter. Carrying the typical Peugeot design with gallant and athletic DNA. Peugeot 4008 has a length of 30 cm shorter than the Peugeot 4007, but still put forward in roomy interior. Behind the front bonnet will be mounted 1.6-liter gasoline engine capable of producing power 116 hp and 152 Nm. In gasoline-powered 2.0-liter 150 hp to 198 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is also a 1.6-liter diesel version (112 hp/270-280 Nm) and 1.8 liter (150 hp/300 Nm) with 6-speed manual transmission. Tata Grande Dicor launched without the Sumo badging

Indian automotive giant, Tata Motors in a move to re-brand vehicles which share names with previous offerings, has launched the Tata Grande DICOR after removing the ‘SUMO’ badge from the MPV. Along with the change in name, the new Tata Grande DICOR, being a mid career facelift, will be offering a few visual upgrades on the exterior as well. The Tata Grande MPV now gets a facelifted exterior that includes a chromed front grille and side finishers, outer rear view mirrors with integrated turn indicators, chromed rub rails, chromed door handles(And, this bit will also make it to the Tata Merlin SUV), blacked out B and C-pillars which are nice touches and finally, new graphics which quite frankly aren't too appealing visually. So, Tata has indeed given the Grande a refresh on the exteriors and this is something the automaker has to be credited for. On the interiors though, not much has changed. Hyundai Eon launch in India on October 14th; Bookings Open

The much awaited small car from Hyundai could be launched any time soon. According to AutocarIndia, the bookings for the car have been started on October 1st with the launch scheduled for October 14th. You must have seen the Hyundai Eon before when we brought you the first images of the car. The small car as we've seen is based on Hyundai's latest fluidic design philosophy and is striking to look at. Some reports suggest that the car could be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh which will put it directly in the league of the Maruti Suzuki Alto and the likes. The Eon does promise more room on the inside thanks to its higher roof line. This also gives it an edge over the Alto. That said, the engine that goes in the Hyundai Eon is a 800 cc three cylinder petrol unit that could churn out anywhere close to 50 bhp of maximum power. Hyundai Eon will be priced below the current most inexpensive offering from the Korean car maker, the Santro. The Tata Nano could be the other product that will rival the Hyundai. Although, the Nano is priced much lower than what the expected price of the Eon, it might not stand a chance against the bigger, more powerful Hyundai. That said, the recent incidents of fire involving the Nano hasn't helped the image of the car. All said, the Hyundai Eon could do with a diesel engine. Diesel powered cars have been the choice of many Indians since the government hiked the prices petrol. A small, inexpensive and reliable diesel car is what the average Indian family wants and could provide a further boost to the sales of the small car.
